IGaming leads the way as the state’s Gaming Control Board reports 3.2% monthly rise in gross receipts.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board announced that iGaming and sports betting operators, both commercial and tribal, generated $220.86 million in revenue for July. This represents a 3.2% increase from June, with iGaming bringing in $191.44 million and sports betting contributing $29.42 million. The total adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for July reached $189.5 million, with iGaming AGR increasing by 4.7% compared to June. Additionally, iGaming and sports betting AGR grew by 24.7% and 5.2%, respectively, compared to July 2023. Operators paid a total of $37.1 million in taxes, including $9.11 million from Detroit. Detroit’s three casinos generated $105.9 million in revenue, with MGM Casino leading in market share and revenue. Tribal operators also made $4.5 million in payments to state authorities.
